Pivot on the pass

If your screenplay has stalled, consider turning it into a novel. This secondary format will allow you to approach literary agents and publishers, with a view to a book deal. Or even to reapproach producers with underlying IP for the original script.

We have been working in publishing and book-to-film/tv since 2004. We understand the mechanics of adaptations, and how screenwriting can be efficiently reworked, retaining unique voice, style and narrative elements.

Four options are available: Write a Novel, Write a Novel Plus, Write a Short Story and Mentorship. All fully human - no AI - that is a guarantee.

Write a Novel

Send us a screenplay of 130 pages or less and we will adapt it into a novel of at least 50,000 words. This is a starting point for a book which you will be able to submit to literary agents. Perfect for writers who have some experience of publishing and know how to navigate the industry.

Write a Novel Plus

As above, we will adapt a screenplay of up to 130 pages. Then we will assist you with the pitch and agent strategy, including coverage of the submission material, and agent recommendations. Ideal for anyone without publishing experience and in need of further industry context and support.

Write a Short Story

If you are an established screenwriter looking to capitalise on the industry’s high demand for short stories, we can adapt your screenplay into short form, i.e. either a short story of 10-20,000 words or a novella of 30-40,000 words. This offers a new way to pitch your work to producers, using a short story as a sales document and/or proof of concept.

Mentorship

For writers who wish to reverse adapt their own work, we offer a 3 month mentorship programme. It includes analysis of best narrative structure, a schedule for chapter delivery, rolling edits, regular follow-up, and an agent strategy for eventual submission. For professional screenwriters up for a new challenge!
